Ginger-lemon shot

Quite spicy but tasty. The apple juice sweetens the deal. You can make it sweeter by adding agave or maple syrup.

700 ml water
200 g fresh ginger, peeled, cubed
lemons, peeled, halved
3 large apples, sweet e.g. Golden Delicious, cored, cut

  1. Pour half of the water in a blender and add the small cubes of ginger. Add the lemon halves and apple pieces. Cover and run the blender until a puree forms.
  2. Add the remainder of the water and mix until you have a thick liquid.
  3. Place a sieve bag in a suitable bowl and pour the ginger juice into the bag. Gently squeeze all the liquid through the bag into the bowl. Transfer the drink into a clean bottle and enjoy. Refrigerate for up to 5-6 days.
