Cinnamon Apple Ribbon Pancake
|1 cups||Krusteaz Wheat and Honey Pancake Mix|
|1/2 tbsp.||whole grain cereal|
|1 tsp.||vanilla extract|
|1/2 tbsp.||baking powder|
|1/2 medium||apple, peeled and cut|
- Mix the dry ingredients except the cereal all together in a large mixing bowl until well mixed.
- In a 1 cup measuring cup, put a bit of cereal in the bottom then put the egg into it (white and yolk). Then pour in milk until the liquid mixture is 1 cup. Mix well, then pour into the dry mix. If you're making a larger batch, just repeat this as many times as cup you used of pancake mix.
- Add vanilla--use more if you want it to be more noticeable. Add water, then Mix well, using large, circular strokes to preserve the "fluffiness" that comes from all the bubbles from the baking soda.
- Pour about 1/4 cup onto a greased skillet heated to medium. Flip the pancake when the edges start looking "dry." Each side of the pancake should be a light brown.
