Traditional Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients

unbaked pastry shell, unbaked (abt. 9")
16 oz. pumpkin, (abt 2 cups)
14 oz sweetened condensed milk
eggs
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 °F (210 °C).
  2. In large mixer bowl, combine all ingredients except pastry shell; mix well. Add to pastry shell. Bake for 15 minutes.
  3. Reduce oven temperature to 350 °F (165 °C); bake 35 to 40 minutes longer or until knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.
  4. Cool. Garnish as desired.
