Tomato & Basil Fettuccini

Back to basics with tomato, basil and broad noodles.

12 oz. fettuccini pasta
1/4 cups olive oil
1 medium onion, chopped
1 cloves garlic, crushed
4 cups tomatoes, chopped
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. black pepper, freshly ground
3 tbsp. fresh basil, chopped
1/4 cups Parmesan cheese


  1. Cook fettuccini according to package directions; drain
  2. In a large skillet heat the olive oil over medium high heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until tender but not brown. Add the tomatoes, salt, pepper and basil. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
  3. Mix the sauce and the fettuccini and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
