granny smith apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
Bosc pears, medium size, cored and thinly sliced
whole wheat flour
almonds, finely chopped
soy margarine, melted
light brown sugar
vanilla ice cream, (or frozen yogurt)
Preheat oven to 350 °F (165 °C). Lightly coat 9x13" baking pan with vegetable oil cooking spray.
In large bowl, mix together apples, pears, maple syrup, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice until well combined. Pour into prepared baking pan, spreading evenly.
Make topping: In small bowl, combine all ingredients and mix well. Sprinkle evenly over fruit mixture. Bake until fruits are soft and topping is golden, about 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool on a wire rack until just warm and serve as is or with frozen dessert if desired.
